Hard luck folks. This was a one night only production that could have run for a week.

Bath School of Acting (BSA) students Caitlin Norton, Emma Aspray, Eve Craik, Finlay Hodges, Madelaine Ellis, Nanouri Winchester and Olivia Marshall sang, danced and acted through twenty excerpts from a wide variety of sources, showcasing their talents while keeping the packed house well entertained.

As you’d expect, Shakespeare, Sondheim and Coward featured but for my money the scene from the great John Godber’s Shakers (cocktail waitresses of course), featuring Olivia, Cate, Maddie and Nanouri, was the most successful acting piece.

A scene from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest struggled to convince, but then who could possibly top Jack Nicholson’s original performance?

Emma Aspray appeared in a variety of parts, with brilliant vocals, good dance and acting ability, she was a very convincing all rounder, while svelte Eve Craik must be up for the dancing honours.

Solitary male Finlay Hodges had to work hard taking a huge variety of parts without missing a beat, as we were galloped through the fast paced evening without interval.

Last year’s students joined the cast for a finale from The Greatest Showman.

The students were presented with their certificates by patron Jeremy Taylor, currently appearing as Raol in the West End production of Phantom of the Opera.
