Whilst the residents in the Twerton and Whiteway area of Bath are grateful they have a regular bus service, we are increasingly concerned that they are ignoring the speed limits.

Buses are regularly hitting parked cars while they speed through the residential streets trying to keep to their timetables and make up any time they may have lost during traffic coming out of the centre.
We have large buses running between 5am right through to 1am every week day and late in the evening with a lot of the evening buses running virtually empty.
Surely it is about time Firstbus started to look at the data they get from their ticket machines and maybe adjust the size of the buses they run late at night to suit the number of users.
Other areas of the city are not as fortunate to have such a frequent service, but until Firstbus look at their charges users will always find it cheaper to drive their own cars.
The public bus service that covers the whole city needs to be an integral part of the transport infrastructure if we are going to have any chance of making our roads safer and cleaner for all modes of transport to be used safely.

Keynsham has an pathetic bus service if you live on the wrong side of town. Wte get the 178 from Bath via Midsomer Norton, so its always late, and in the winter just doesn’t bother turning up at all, or runs early through Keynsham to catch up.
First are interested in profit only, so they might be running that bus for the council and wont care how many people use it.
