The free event will run from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July, bringing more than 100 independent traders to Milsom Street and nearby roads.

Organisers say the fayre will turn the area into a busy summer marketplace, with stalls selling artisan food and drink, handmade gifts and products from a wide range of small businesses.

The event is being delivered by LSD Promotions in partnership with Bath & North East Somerset Council and is intended to showcase independent traders while drawing residents and visitors into the city centre.

Visitors will be able to browse a broad mix of stalls, including artisan bakers, jewellers, artists, sustainable fashion brands, local makers and international street food vendors.

Food on offer will include Greek gyros, Turkish street food, Japanese dumplings, Nepalese curries, Korean corn dogs, handmade crepes, Portuguese custard tarts, artisan doughnuts, brownies, fudge and freshly squeezed juices.

There will also be a range of independent drinks producers, including cider makers, rum producers, cocktail brands, gin liqueurs and local craft beer, alongside speciality food sellers offering cheeses, preserves and olives.

Live entertainment is also planned across the weekend, with a DJ providing music and walkabout performers adding family-friendly street entertainment.

Alongside the visiting traders, organisers said the event would also encourage people to explore Bath’s existing independent businesses on Milsom Street, Quiet Street and New Bond Street, where shops, cafés, galleries, bars and restaurants will add to the attraction of the weekend.

The Summer Fayre will also include sustainable and ethical businesses, handmade crafts, local artists, wildlife charities and independent makers.

Siobhan Noake, communications and engagement manager at LSD Promotions, said: “The Summer Fayre is all about celebrating everything people love about Bath – its independent businesses, incredible food scene and welcoming community spirit.

“We love creating events that encourage people to spend time in the city, discover new businesses and support local traders, while enjoying a fantastic free day out with family and friends.

“Whether you’re visiting Bath for the weekend or you’re a local looking for something to do, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Bath Summer Fayre is free to attend, does not require tickets and is dog friendly.
