Families in Bath will have more than 20 different activities to choose from at the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Victoria Art Gallery during the school summer holidays.
In fact, there will be something happening at one of the three Bath & North East Somerset Council-run museums every day during the summer break.
Young visitors will be able to dress up in a Roman toga; make an owl puppet, mask or mobile; design a fabulous dress or fashion accessory; or create beautiful artworks based on the Victoria Art Gallery’s current exhibition, A Celebration of Flowers.
Councillor Paul Myers, (Conservative, Midsomer Norton Redfield), cabinet member for Economic and Community Regeneration, said: “There’s lots going on in our museums to keep children entertained over the summer holidays, whatever their interests.
“We hope that local families will enjoy this bumper programme of activities, all of which are free for Bath & North East Somerset residents with a Discovery Card.”
Activities at the Victoria Art Gallery are free for everyone. At the Roman Baths and Fashion Museum, activities are included in the admission price (free for Discovery Card holders).
The events will be suitable for children aged three and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
