In just over two weeks time Bath will play host to the first ever Midnight Memory Walk in aid of Children’s Hospice South West. On Friday 1st July 2011 it is anticipated hundreds of women will take to the street’s of our historic city, coming together to celebrate memories with every step.
CHSW are recruiting walkers for the sponsored seven mile circular route which will take in some of the city’s greatest sights including The Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge.
The night will begin at Royal Avenue, Royal Victoria Park and after an inspiring candle-lit ceremony, walkers will set off at midnight to celebrate memories whilst raising vital funds for this worthwhile charity.
They invite all friends, families and supporters to join them as they remember and celebrate the people who have been important to us. Why not dedicate your walk to the person you are remembering or in honour of someone you love.
Sophie Crossman events fundraiser at Charlton Farm, says:
“This walk is part of a series of walks that take place throughout the South West. They offer a beautiful opportunity for women to get together and celebrate memories of lost loved ones; this might be their mum or dad, friend, child or spouse. It does not matter who you walk to remember, the important part is that these women come together to celebrate their own unique memories. The walk offers a poignant but uplifting way to celebrate memories whilst helping to raise vital funds to support the life-limited children and families from the local area that CHSW provide hospice care for.”
