The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thick fog overnight and into tomorrow morning across the Bath and North East Somerset area.

The weather service has warned that patches of fog are expected to develop overnight and may become more widespread towards dawn.

The dense fog, expected between 2am and 10am tomorrow (Thursday) morning, may be slow to clear, and longer journey times and hazardous driving conditions are possible.

The Met Office’s Chief Forecaster said: “Not everywhere in the region will experience fog, but where it does form, visibility may drop below 100 m. This is most likely in low lying areas and valleys.”

The weather in Bath will stay mostly cloudy tomorrow after the fog has cleared, then will stay overcast into the evening.
