Heavy rain yellow weather warning issued for South West region
A weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for the South West, covering Bath and the surrounding area.

The warning from the Met Office is in place from 10am on Wednesday 17th December, until 11.59pm.
Forecasters say a band of rain will push east across the region on Wednesday, turning heavy at times, particularly over higher ground.
With conditions already wet in recent days, the warning highlights an increased risk of flooding and disruption.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care, as surface water and spray could make journeys slower and more difficult, and some roads may need to close if flooding develops.
Disruption could also affect public transport, with a risk of delays or cancellations to bus and rail services in places where flooding occurs.
The warning also notes a small risk of power cuts and interruptions to other services, and says there is a chance of flooding affecting homes and businesses, potentially causing damage.
Across much of the warning area, 15-25mm of rain is expected, but totals could be higher over hills and moors, with 40-60mm possible over Dartmoor and the hills of south Wales.
The rain should begin clearing east later on Wednesday, continuing into the early hours of Thursday.
People are advised to check whether their property is in an area at risk of flooding and consider putting a simple flood plan and emergency kit in place if needed.
Anyone travelling is also being encouraged to keep an eye on road conditions and public transport timetables, and to adjust plans if disruption looks likely.
The warning adds that it is worth preparing for the possibility of power cuts by having items such as torches, batteries and a mobile phone power pack to hand, and to stay up to date as weather warnings can change quickly.
