Two men have appeared in court charged with a number of burglaries which have taken place across Bath and South Gloucestershire.
The men were arrested in Hanham on Friday 21st March following a police investigation into a burglary in Kingswood which happened on Monday 10th March.
Officers also recovered property including jewellery and electrical items they believe to have been stolen in a burglary in Oldland Common on Thursday 20th March.
South Gloucestershire Neighbourhoods Manager Inspector Bob Evely said: “We are seeing fewer burglaries and South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset remain safe places to live.
“We’re working hard to catch and convict criminals but I’d always recommend making sure your home is secure. There’s lots of information on our website, or you can ask for advice from your neighbourhood team.”
Police charged a 33-year-old man from Hanham with three burglaries, in Oldland Common, Kingswood and Bath.
A 32-year-old, also from Hanham, was charged with two burglaries, in Oldland Common and Bath, and with possession of cannabis.
Both men appeared before North Avon Magistrates on Monday 24th March.
The 33-year-old was remanded in custody to a date to be fixed, while the 32-year-old was released on conditional bail until his next court date.
These charges follow the earlier arrest and charge of a 24-year-old Kingswood man, who appeared before North Avon Magistrates on Wednesday 19th March charged with the burglary in Kingswood and another burglary in Hanham.
He was remanded in custody pending his appearance in Bristol Crown Court in April.
