Thousands of pounds have been raised across Bath for Macmillan after the annual World’s Largest Coffee Morning on Friday.

The event involved people from all over the UK holding a coffee morning to raise money for cancer support.

As part of the nationwide event, coffee mornings were held in and around Bath leading up to and on the day itself.

Businesses across the city held special events to promote the campaign and to raise money.

One in three people will get cancer and even more will be affected by it through friends and family. Macmillan provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support, helping patients and their loved ones to face the fight and get through it.

In 2012 115,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £15 million. This year they hope to have raised more.
