Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a robbery at Barclays bank in Combe Down in the early hours of this morning.

The front of the Barclays Bank on North Road in Combe Down was badly damaged during the robbery.
An ATM in the bank was attacked and the premises was broken into. A quantity of money was stolen during the incident.
Neighbouring children’s clothes shop Camomile Clothes tweeted to say that they were closed for the day due to the ongoing investigation work.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact them.
DS Leon Swaby, of Bath CID, said: “We believe four males got into a red saloon-type car, that was parked in a gravel area opposite the bank’s car park, and left at speed in the direction of Claverton Down around the time of the incident.
“We are appealing for these four males, or anyone who knows who they are, to contact us as they may have information which could help us with our enquiries.
“We are asking that members of the public, in particular taxi drivers who were travelling along Bradford Road and North Road between 3am and 3.15am this morning, to cast their memories back to the time of the incident and to contact us if they remember seeing a vehicle matching this description or similar, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area.”
