The Council-run Youth Connect service is looking for more people to take a space at its annual Christmas Fair being held in Peasedown St John later this month.
The Youth Connect service at Peasedown Youth Hub is staging its Christmas Fair on Saturday, 20th December from 10am to 2pm and has around 20 table top spaces available for anyone wishing to raise funds for the local community.
Sam Plummer, Integrated Youth Team Leader for the Somer Valley area, said: “We’re holding the fair in partnership with the Southside family project and St John’s Church in Peasedown.
“We’re looking for more people to buy spaces for our table top sale. Tables are £10 each and the funds raised will be put into community projects. We’re also looking for people to donate raffle and tombola prizes.”
The event already includes a Santa’s grotto, bouncy castle, table top sale, raffle and craft stalls, hot food- made and served by young people from the Peasedown Youth Hub, a cake stall, kids Christmas crafts, reindeer dust making and face painting.
Youth Connect is the new name for the Council’s services for young people in Bath and North East Somerset.
It provides a range of services from positive activities and advice to individual support for young adults aged 11-19 and young people with learning disabilities aged up to 25 who are moving on into work or training.
