Bath centre Hennessey poised for Wales debut in Six Nations

Two Bath Rugby players are in Scotland’s squad for the 2026 Guinness Six Nations, two more are in Wales’ squad for the prestigious competition, and another member of the Blue, Black & White crew has been named in the Scotland A training squad ahead of a match with an Italy XV.

The 89-cap fly-half Finn Russell and 14-cap back row Josh Bayliss are in Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend’s 40-man squad for the Six Nations, which will take place in February and March. This will be Russell’s 12th Six Nations campaign.

Bath centre Louie Hennessey is a member of the Wales squad picked by head coach Steve Tandy. Hennessey, who has yet to be capped by his country, is joined in the principality’s group by clubmate Archie Griffin, who has 11 Wales caps to his name.

Bath centre Cameron Redpath is in the Scotland A party as they gear up for the clash with an Italy XV at Stadio Centro D’Italia, Manlio Scopigno, on Friday 6 February. Redpath has 15 caps for the full Scotland side.

Meanwhile, Bath’s under-18s outscored their Newcastle Red Bulls opponents by four tries to one as they maintained their unbeaten record in the Gallagher PREM’s Next Gen academy league.

The table-topping Blue, Black & White were 26-7 away winners on Saturday 17th January, giving them their fifth win from six outings.

The result at Kingston Park came despite Newcastle having 59% of the possession and 66% of the territory and gaining 520 metres in attack, the visitors gaining 326 metres.
