Bike Bath will be returning to the city for its 5th year in 2016 and is shaping up to be another fantastic day of cycling, with local riders being invited to sign up to various routes of up to 80 miles.

The event, one of the largest single day sportives in the South West and hosted at the Bath Recreation Ground, will take place on Sunday 3rd July.

Riders can choose from routes of 25, 50 and 80 miles which will be brand new for 2016 and will be officially unveiled in the coming months when registration also opens.

The event, organised by the experienced team at Iconic Cycling Events, appeals to cyclists of all ages and abilities, with club, families and individuals all taking part.

Teams from local businesses and charities also get involved, creating a diverse participant list.

This year, rider numbers will be capped at 1200 to keep the inclusive feel to the event and participants will once again be provided with a timing chip for their ride and a relaxing post-ride atmosphere with food and drinks available at the event village.

Bike Bath is more than ‘just a bike ride’ and as in previous years, the event will engage local businesses and food producers.

There are numerous opportunities for any businesses who are interested in becoming event partners, including title partner, route partner and feature partner opportunities.

For full details, visit the Partner page at www.iconiccyclingevents/ice-partners or contact Richard Best via [email protected].

Jayne Fishwick, Event Director, said: “We’ve seen the event grow over the years but are keen to keep the friendly atmosphere that riders have become accustomed to.

“The event attracts riders from outside the South-West region which provides a huge benefit to local businesses so we are excited to be returning for a fifth year in 2016.”

After completing the event last year, Ian U said: “I take part in a number of events around the country and can honestly say this stands out as being one of my new favourites.”

Full details on the event can be found on the website www.bikebath.co.uk.
