In changeable weather conditions at the Lansdown track, the going eased from soft to heavy after three races.

The fifth race, the British EBF Fillies’ Handicap over one mile and three-and-a-half furlongs, was decided by a neck.

Five-year-old Miss Dolly Rocker (9/2), trained by Daniel and Claire Kübler at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire and ridden by Rob Hornby, took the victory by pipping second-placed Azahara Palace (13/2).

And the closing BetWright All Bun & Games Handicap, over one mile, was won by a head by Ajrad (11/2) from second-placed Mapledurham (15/2).

Seven-year-old Ajrad, from Rod Millman’s yard at Kentisbeare in Devon, was partnered by Lewis Edmunds.

Rupert The Prince, stabled by Paddy Butler at East Chiltington in East Sussex and piloted by Hector Crouch, was successful in the opening clash, the Bath Holiday Rentals Handicap (Bath Summer Stayers Series Qualifier) over one mile and six furlongs.

The three-year-old, a 9/4 shot, finished four-and-a-quarter lengths ahead of second-placed Wannabeawallaby (10/1).

Runamara, trained by Kevin Philippart de Foy at Newmarket in Suffolk and ridden by Nicola Currie, claimed the honours by half-a-length at 33/1 in the second race, the EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes over five-and-a-half furlongs. The 15/8 favourite, Son Of Sarabi, was second.

The third contest, the five-and-a-half-furlong BetWright Bet The Wright Way Handicap, was won by 15/2 chance Silky Robin.

Trained by Brian Toomey (Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire) and with Tom Marquand in the saddle, the four-year-old came home one-and-a-quarter lengths clear of second-placed All Too Beautiful, the 9/4 joint favourite.

Savannah Smiles was victorious at 3/1 in the fourth race, the BetWright Safer Gambling Handicap (Bath Summer Sprint Series Qualifier), for Shirenewton, Monmouthshire, handler Grace Harris.

With Rossa Ryan on board, the five-year-old finished half-a-length clear of second-placed Secret Handsheikh, the 7/4 favourite, in the five-furlong contest.

Four-year-old Skimming Along, stabled by Daniel Steele at Henfield in West Sussex and ridden by Alex Voikhansky, came home first at 7/2 in the penultimate race, the BetWright Bangers N’Cash Handicap (Bath Summer Stayers’ Series Qualifier).

Stintino Sunset (3/1) was second, three-and-three-quarter lengths behind.

Bath Racecourse will stage its double-header weekend on Saturday 13th September (The Wurzels LIVE Raceday) and Sunday 14th September (Best Of Bath Food & Drink Festival Raceday). To buy tickets, visit https://www.bath-racecourse.co.uk.
