Team Bath Buccaneers’ women’s 1st XI came from behind to defeat Clifton Robinsons 2nd XI on Saturday 11th October

Team Bath Buccaneers’ women’s 1st XI stayed on the coat tails of England Hockey Women’s Conference West leaders Cardiff & Met 1st XI by coming from behind to beat visitors Clifton Robinsons 2nd XI on Saturday 11th October.

The Buccs went a goal down in the fifth minute. But Tabitha Tinniswood struck to get them back on terms in the 43rd minute. And Charlotte Barr netted from a penalty corner at the death to secure a 2-1 victory.

Second-placed Team Bath, who lie two points behind Cardiff & Met, will continue their league programme on Saturday 18th October, when they visit Exeter 1st XI (1.30pm).

The Buccaneers’ men’s 1st XI forced a 2-2 draw with unbeaten guests Clifton Robinsons 1st XI in an England Hockey Men’s Conference West clash on Sunday 12th October.

Team Bath, who are one point off the bottom of the table, led through Liam Writer’s 30th-minute goal from a penalty corner.

But Clifton responded to go 2-1 up, only for Henry Swan to save a point with a 64th-minute shot.
