Buccs’ women’s 1s stay unbeaten, men’s 1s suffer second loss

Team Buccaneers women’s 1st XI recorded their second win of the season – but their male counterparts have now lost twice

Team Bath Buccaneers’ women’s 1st XI preserved their unbeaten record in England Hockey Women’s Conference West when they overpowered their Cheltenham counterparts on Saturday 4th October.

The travelling Buccs were 3-0 victors at Balcarras School, Priya Kerfoot, Katie Gwyther and Rachel Cox (penalty corner) on target.

Sitting in second place in the table with two successes and a draw to their name, Team Bath will receive Clifton Robinsons 2nd XI on Saturday 11th October (1pm).

Team Bath men’s 1st XI took the lead but slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Fareham on Sunday 5th October in England Hockey Men’s Conference West.

Christian Moody struck from a penalty corner after 11 minutes but the Hampshire outfit hit back with a goal apiece from Alexander Barrett (penalty corner) and Oliver Pemble to take maximum points at The Henry Cort Community College.

The Buccs, who have won one and lost two of their three games so far, will continue their league programme by hosting Clifton Robinsons 1st XI on Sunday 12th October (1pm).
