1sts to get Mendip’s competitive tenure at Ralph Allen under way

The 2025-26 season in the West Hockey divisions will get under way on Saturday 27th September – and there will be 1st XI action at Ralph Allen School as the Mendip club make their competitive debut at their new home in Combe Down.

The West Hockey 2025-26 league season will get under way on 27th September, with numerous local teams at home

The Mendip women’s senior team will take on their Yeovil & Sherborne counterparts at the Claverton Down Road venue in West Women’s Division 2 Central.

Local teams’ fixtures for Saturday 27th September

West Women’s Premier: Bristol Firebrands 2nd XI v Team Bath Buccaneers’ 2nd XI (11am).

West Women’s Division 1 North: Team Bath Buccaneers 3rd XI v University of Bristol 2nd XI (12.30pm).

West Women’s Division 2 East: Bristol & West Jaspers 1st XI v Team Bath Buccaneers 4th XI (10am), City of Bath 1st XI v Marlborough 1st XI (2.45pm).

West Women’s Division 2 Central: Mendip 1st XI v Yeovil & Sherborne 1st XI (11am).

West Women’s Whitehorse Division 1: City of Bath 2nd XI v Devizes 1st XI (2.45pm), Team Bath Buccaneers 5th XI v Chippenham 3rd XI (11am).

West Women’s Whitehorse Division 2: Team Bath Buccaneers 7th XI v Royal Wootton Bassett 3rd XI (3.30pm).

West Women’s Brunel Division 2: Bristol & West Jaspers 3rd XI v Team Bath Buccaneers 6th XI (2.45pm).

West Women’s Berkeley Division 3: City of Bath 3rd XI (Development) v North Somerset Gryphons 3rd XI (Development) (4pm).

West Open Men’s Premier: Clifton Robinsons 2nd XI v Team Bath Buccaneers 2nd XI (2pm).

West Open Men’s Division 1 North: Cardiff & Met 3rd XI v Mendip 1st XI (12.45pm), Team Bath Buccaneers 3rd XI v Gloucester City 1st XI (2pm).

West Open Men’s Division 2 East: Chippenham 2nd XI v Team Bath Buccaneers 4th XI (2pm), Hereford 1st XI v City of Bath 1st XI (noon).

West Open Men’s Division 2 Central: Sidmouth & Ottery 1st XI v Team Bath Buccaneers 5th XI (1.45pm).

West Open Men’s Concorde Division 1: Mendip 2nd XI v Clifton Robinsons 6th XI (1.15pm), Team Bath Buccaneers 6th XI v Keynsham 1st XI (2pm).

West Open Men’s Saxon Division 1: North Wilts 1st XI v City of Bath 2nd XI (11am), Team Bath Buccaneers 7th XI v Chippenham 3rd XI (12.30pm).

West Open Men’s Saxon Division 2: Royal Wootton Bassett 3rd XI v City of Bath 3rd XI (2pm), Team Bath Buccaneers 8th XI v Cirencester 3rd XI (11am).

Also on Saturday 27th September, England Hockey Women’s Conference West will see Team Bath Buccaneers 1st XI visit Oxford University 1st XI (2.30pm).

And on Sunday 28th September, there will be local interest in England Hockey Open Men’s Conference West as Team Bath Buccaneers 1st XI go to South Devon’s Ashmoor 1st XI (1pm).
