Promoted Odd Down Devs are handed away start against old rivals

Promoted Odd Down Development will open their Trophies of Radstock Mid Somerset Football League Division One season with a trip to Meadow Rangers.

The Down will take on last term’s Division Two champions at Norton Hill Recreation Ground on Saturday 6th September (2pm).

The first home game for the young Odd Down side – who were runners-up to Meadow in 2024-25 following a points deduction but won three cups – will bring Pensford to the Lew Hill Memorial Ground on Saturday 20th September.

The Down have a bye in the first round of the Paulton Hospital Cup and will host Peasedown Albion Reserves in the second stage on Saturday 13th December.

And Odd Down have been granted free passage to the quarter-finals of the Clark Cup, where they will entertain Pilton United on Saturday 21st February.

  • September: 6th Meadow Rangers (A), 13th Glastonbury Reserves (A), 20th Pensford (H).
  • October: 4th Haydon Sports (H), 25th Meadow Rangers (H).
  • November: 1st Peasedown Albion Reserves (A), 22nd Chew Magna Reserves (A), 29th Frome Town United Reserves (H).
  • December: 6th Pilton United (A), 20th Haydon Sports (A).
  • January: 3rd Chew Magna Reserves (H), 10th Pensford (A), 17th Pilton United (H), 24th Glastonbury Reserves (H).
  • February: 7th Frome Town United Reserves (A), 14th Peasedown Albion Reserves (H).

Odd Down Development raced to a 4-0 home win over Mid Somerset League Premier Division outfit High Littleton in a friendly on Saturday 9th August.

On target for the Prince Sharka-managed team were Kevin Boadi (2), Tallan Lewis and Toby Davis.
