The young Larks were beaten 3-2 at Devizes Town Reserves on Tuesday 12th August in their third Premier Division game of the campaign.

Ben Wickens struck for the visitors in a first half that ended 1-1.

James Horrocks was their marksman in the second period at The Grist Environmental Ground – and the game seemed to be heading for a 2-2 draw.

But Athletic, who won their previous two matches and scored eight goals in the process, conceded what they described as a worldie to hand Devizes their first victory of 2025-26.

Jordan Anning, Eoin O’Grady and Jacob Reader were on target for Town, who had lost their three previous fixtures.

Larkhall Development are back home in the league on Saturday 16th August when will take on Oxfordshire outfit Letcombe at the newly named Camella Stadium (3pm).

While Athletic were losing to Devizes, Letcombe – who are based near Wantage – went down 1-0 at home to pacesetters Swindon Supermarine Development, missing a penalty in the process.

On Wednesday 20th August, Trowbridge Town will be the Larks’ guests for another Premier Division clash (7.45pm).
