A pair of first-half strikes saw the Larks to victory at the Camella Stadium.

The hosts applied pressure from the start and took the lead in the 15th minute.

Matty Morris beat the Faringdon defence and set up Ben Wickens for a tap-in.

And 10 minutes later it was 2-0, Morris netting with an overhead kick.

Arlo Stone had a ‘goal’ disallowed before the interval but Faringdon hit back well in the second half, only to fail to score.

The result lifted the Larks into second place in the table.

They had been top but were displaced by Swindon Supermarine Development on Tuesday 2nd September, the South Marston-based club winning 2-0 at Faringdon.

And then Melksham Town Reserves’ 4-0 victory at home to Trowbridge Town on Friday 5th September pushed Athletic into third spot.

Larkhall are next in action on Wednesday 10th September, when they entertain Park United (7.45pm).
