Rob Hobbs notched the Down’s first-half goal after James Tait had put City ahead in the Jewson Western League Division One tussle at the Lew Hill Memorial Ground.

But Jake Brown restored the visitors’ advantage and Ross McErlain made it 3-1.

Harry Warwick hit the fourth Wells goal before, with 10 minutes remaining, Jack Kelsey bagged Odd Down’s second.

Fourth-placed City have the second-best goal difference – 24 – in the division.

Odd Down will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league on Saturday 8th November, when they receive Shirehampton (3pm).

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early and are advised to use Odd Down Park & Ride. Additional parking is available in nearby streets but supporters are asked to be considerate of local residents.

The Down’s clubhouse will serve drinks and snacks. The What’s Cooking trailer will serve hot food and drinks.

Table-topping Odd Down Development will visit Haydon Sports on Saturday 8th November in their next Trophies of Radstock Mid Somerset League Division One fixture. Kick-off at Roundhill Recreation Ground in Radstock will be at 2pm.

Odd Down Women have been drawn at home to Banwell Ladies in the third round of the Somerset County Women’s League Cup.

The match will be played at the Lew Hill Memorial Ground on Sunday 30th November (2pm).
