The Mangos have now won five out of five league games this term but they had to work hard at the Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park as the Romans held a 2-0 lead at the break.

City took the lead after only nine minutes, Abby Gray heading in a corner from Tara Taylor.

And they rocked the South Gloucestershire side further just two minutes later, when Adella Clarke drove home via a post.

Bath deserved their interval lead. But Mangotsfield changed their formation and took control in the second half, hitting back to take maximum points.

United reduced the arrears in the 71st minute with a cross-shot from Adele Elliott, tied things up from close range through Emma Brown shortly afterwards and hit the winner with an injury-time drive from substitute Brooke Moore.

The mid-table Romans will be at home again on Sunday 2nd November, when Paulton Rovers Ladies provide the opposition in another league fixture (2pm).

Bath City Women Development overwhelmed visitors Cheddar Ladies 6-1 at Peasedown St John Recreation Ground in Somerset County Women’s League Division One on Sunday 26th October.

All of the goals came in the second half. Hari Sabic claimed a hat-trick for City, with Tish Davis, Lucy Charlesworth and Zoe Whitcombe also scoring.

Cheddar replied at the death through Ruby Johnson.

The Devs’ next match will be a league derby at home to Paulton Rovers Ladies Reserves on Sunday 9th November.
