Bath Rugby Under 16s on the lookout for players ahead of upcoming season

There’s a new look about Bath Rugby Under 16s as they prepare for the coming season, with new coach Mark Ball on the lookout for additional players to join the squad.

Bath RFC veteran Mark Ball has taken over the slimmed-down squad, who have suffered some unexpected defections during the close season.

Mark said: “Like all clubs if you lose a couple then you tend to lose another three and four and that has left us short on numbers.

“We have lost some of the big ball carriers who were central to our game plan over the past few seasons but we have kept a hardcore of players eager to play a more uptempo and expansive game.

“But there’s no disguising the fact we are missing some big lads in the pack to win us the ball in the first place.

“We would like to invite any players between clubs or promising school players eager to step up to club rugby to come on down to Lambridge on Wednesday nights to try us out.

“We would also like to invite some of the players who have drifted away over the past five years to come back to boost the age group prior to folding in to the Colts next year.”

Anybody interested in joining the squad should go down to the Lambridge HQ on the London Road on Wednesday evenings from 7pm.
