Coutya, who is based at the University of Bath, took his gold-medal haul for the Para Fencing World Cup season to six by winning two more at the third competition of the year – in Bradenton, Florida, US.
The double Paralympic champion claimed a third successive Category B foil victory in dominant fashion, conceding just 19 hits across three knockout rounds before defeating Thailand’s Chitipat Charoenta 15-4 in the final.
That came a day after the pair met in the Category B epee gold-medal match, Coutya coming out on top 15-12.

And in an absorbing Category A epee competition in Bradenton, Coutya’s team-mates Piers Gilliver and Oliver Lam-Watson placed third and fifth respectively.
Britain’s Gemma Collis won bronze in the women’s Category A epee.
Coutya, Collis and Lam-Watson teamed up with Emily Holder to win bronze in the new mixed foil event, Italy defeating the British quartet 20-18 in the last four.
The final Para Fencing World Cup competition of the season will take place in Pattaya City, Thailand, from Sunday 30th August to Wednesday 2nd September.
