A crash caused drama in Southstoke yesterday afternoon after a pick-up truck overturned in a narrow lane between the village and Combe Hay.
The incident left Hodshill completely blocked, with the Ford pick-up truck on its side.
The vehicle crashed just after 4pm, with Avon and Somerset Police rushing officers, including an armed response vehicle (ARV) and the police helicopter Quebec 99, to the scene. An ambulance was also sent.
The two men in the vehicle are believed to have run off when it crashed, causing the increased response from the police.
They were later arrested after being found hiding in a hedge by a police dog.
