The Genesis Trust has announced that Bath-base food branding agency The Collaborators have launched the “Souper Fresh 15” cookbook to help raise funds for the charity.
The cookbook is a celebration and compilation of the wonderful soup recipes donated by local chefs to the Souper November campaign which raised over £5,000 for the charity last Autumn.
Containing recipes from MasterChef champion Ping Coombes and Richard Bertinet, recently crowned Best Ambassador for Bath Food, (at the Bath Good Food Awards) it’s a kitchen must have for 2015.
With beautiful illustrations by the Collaborator’s designer Harry Knight, it’s a fantastic post Christmas resource as we leave behind the excesses of the festive season.
Whether you’re after a simple nourishing soup or an exotic spicy broth, there’s plenty in this downloadable book for everyone, all fifteen recipes are wholesome and tasty.
Recipes from award winning chefs Sam Moody of Bath Priory, Chris Cleghorn of the Olive Tree and Chris Staines of Allium provide a bit of panache and there’s also more down to earth fayre from local farm shops Hartley, Newton St.Loe and Farleigh Road.
The Bath rugby team chef has also contributed an easy to make tomato soup recipe.
There’s even a cheap and cheerful Onion soup recipe from Genesis clients who’ve been attending a Cooking on a Budget course organised by Bath College.
Director at The Collaborators, Rachel Wood, said: “We’ve long talked about publishing a collection of great soup recipes for a charity we believe in, so as fans of soup and the fantastic work of the Genesis Trust we’ve loved being part of Souper November.
“We’ve had a lot of fun creating this beautiful book and, with recipes from our local chefs who are some of the best in the country, we think it’s testament to the amazing food talent in our region.
“We work with many well known food brands but we’re proud to be based in Bath and are happy that by combining all our different talents we can support Genesis to continue their fantastic projects and give a helping hand to those who most need it in, especially at the start of a new year.
“The book is packed with delicious and heart-warming recipes and by donating as little as £4 you can download your copy and help make a difference.”
Director of the Genesis Trust, Paul Solly, said: “We are really touched that the Collaborators has taken the initiative to publish this book as a result of our 2014 Souper November campaign.
“It’s great for us to know that the work we do in Bath is recognised and valued by an established business like this and we hope their customers and our supporters in the city will download the book.
“I think there’s an eclectic bunch of soup recipes in it with something for everyone, however accomplished a cook they are!”
