The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust will be held on Wednesday 24th September at the Assembly Rooms in Bath.

The AGM, held between 5pm – 7.30pm, is open to all members of the public and is an opportunity for the Trust to reflect upon its activities, challenges and achievements over the past financial year.

There will be a presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts and the Trust will outline its plans for the year ahead.

Doors open at 5pm, when there will be an opportunity for guests to view exhibitions showcasing some of the work of the hospital. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions and tea and coffee will be available.

The main meeting will begin at 5.45pm and will close at 7.30pm.

Earlier this summer, in recognition of its outstanding work to improve patient safety, the RUH was named by Jeremy Hunt as one of 12 Trusts selected to pioneer national ‘Sign up to Safety’ campaign.

Director of Nursing and Midwifery Helen Blanchard will provide an update on this campaign at the AGM.

Trust Chairman Brian Stables is urging anyone with an interest in the hospital or in the NHS to come along.

He said: “The AGM is open to all members of the public and offers everyone the opportunity to share their views with us, and participate in learning more about the activities of the Trust.

“We hope to make the AGM the biggest and most inclusive yet, so please register your interest today.”

The AGM will incorporate the Annual Members Meeting, and the Trust hopes to see a high turnout amongst its membership.

If you would like to attend the AGM, RSVP by Friday 19th September to [email protected] or by telephone 01225 826288.
