Local residents are being warned by the Met Office to expect more heavy rain across the Bath area today and on Sunday.
An amber weather warning has been issued by the weather forecaster, with heavy rain expected to cause localised flooding in the already saturated area.
Bands of rain are expected to move eastwards across the area during today, bringing rainfall accumulations of 10 to 20 mm.
With the ground saturated over much of the region, the public should be aware of the risk of further local flooding and associated disruption.
The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: “Active frontal troughs will move eastwards across the UK during Friday, a combination of mild, moisture laden air and occasionally strong winds bringing further rain to many places.”
