Enforcement of parking restrictions is to be stepped up in Claverton this week to ensure that local residents and visitors can have safe access to one of the area’s beauty spots.

Ferry Lane, which provides access to Warleigh Weir, has increasingly had issues with obstructive and dangerous parking, which has caused safety and traffic problems.
The Council is therefore repainting the road’s existing double yellow lines today (Wednesday, 11th May), and stepping up enforcement of the no waiting at any time parking restriction.
The road’s side verges, including a small layby area on the road, are also covered by the double yellow line restrictions.
Anyone parked in contravention of the double yellow lines may be issued with a penalty charge notice.
