The first #HowlettsHour, hosted by Bath MP Ben Howlett, has proven successful with a number of local residents getting involved and tweeting a range of questions, mostly on transport.

The first hour took place on Tuesday (29th September) between 4-5pm.

Ben said: “Politics and the way that residents communicate with their MPs has changed over the last 5 years.  I am committed to ensuring that residents are able to contact me however is most convenient for them.

“It is not just young people who use social media, the fastest growth in users is the over 40s.

“It has been a great way to interact with constituents in such a direct manner.

“The majority of questions were on transport related issues, and I am keeping my own website fully updated on transport matters.”

“I will definitely be repeating #HowlettsHour in the coming weeks, so please do follow me on Twitter @ben4bath where I will be announcing the next time and date.

“Dozens of residents have sent me their views, ideas and questions and I will be following up with this over the next few days.”
