Don Foster MP and prospective Lib Dem MP Steve Bradley have paid tribute to the efforts of the postmen and women at Royal Mail’s Bath Delivery Office at their busiest time of year.
With the Christmas postal schedule in full flow, Don and Steve visited the Delivery Office to pass on Christmas wishes and encouragement, and were astonished by the extent of the operation in progress.
Don Foster, Bath’s MP for over 20 years commented: “The sheer size and scale of the operation never ceases to amaze me.
“I could imagine that postmen and women would dread this time of year, but it was delightful to see so many working hard with a smile on their face.”
Steve Bradley was also full of praise in saying: “Our postal workers do such an important job at this time of year, one that often goes unrecognised.”
“It was great to witness first-hand the hard-work, care and efficiency of our local postal workers.
“It is due to their efforts that many of us are able to put a smile on the face of loved ones at this special time of year and I for one am grateful.”
The last recommended posting date for first class delivery is the 20th and the 18th for second class, which doesn’t leave much time to get gifts off to friends and family.
