Bath Labour’s parliamentary candidate Ollie Middleton has pledged to fight for the people of Bath in the upcoming General Election, which will take place in 100 days.
Bath Labour Party, which has recently seen an increase in membership and activists ahead of the election, has also ramped up efforts to offer an alternative to thousands of people in Bath who may feel let down by the Tories and Lib Dems’ policies, including the trebling of tuition fees, the bedroom tax and reduced funding in real terms to the NHS.
Commenting, Ollie Middleton said: “Bath Labour Party are going to make sure that people in Bath have a genuine alternative to the Tories and the Lib Dems who have treated voters with utter contempt.
“The Lib Dems are telling people that you have to vote for them to keep the Tories out, but in 2010 they just helped the Tories get in”.
“There are one in five children in Bath living below the poverty line, thousands affected by the cruel and callous bedroom tax and recent events at the RUH have shown that our NHS is in crisis and it needs to be sorted out quickly.
“Students are paying three times more for their education and all the while the Lib Dems are acting like everything is fine”.
“The reason I’m standing as a candidate for MP in Bath is that I want to serve the city I’ve grown up in and love and give a powerful voice for the thousands of people that have been let down by the Lib Dems”.
