Plans to knock down a Batheaston house and replace it with an “attractive, energy-efficient and sustainable family home” have been submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council.

Bookcroft at 15 Seven Acres Lane is said to be “too small, inaccessible and impractically laid out internally to meet modern living standards”.
The property, which is not listed, is just outside the housing development boundary of Batheaston, and just inside the Green Belt and Cotswolds National Landscape, formerly known as the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A new access is proposed for the site,
The self-build home would be 20.4% larger than the house it replaces.
However, the property does have extant planning permission for extensions to increase the size by 36.5%.
The deadline for comments is 12th June. The planning reference is 25/01972/FUL.
