The Bath Conservatives say they are delighted to announce that Tom Hobson will stand as their candidate in the forthcoming Kingsmead by-election on Thursday 5th July.
Mr Hobson is a resident of Kingsmead, living in Norfolk Crescent and works locally.
He said: “I’ve lived in Bath since 2013 when I came here as a student. it didn’t take long to fall in love with the city that has very much become my home.
“I am a West Country boy at heart and Bath really is the centre in my eyes.
“In that time I’ve made it my mission to engage with the community as much as possible. I’ve worked for four or so years as a personal assistant to a young man with disabilities and learning difficulties here in Bath; something everyone that knows me knows how much I love and cherish.
“More recently I’ve tackled Julian House’s Big Bath Sleepout on possibly the rainiest night we’ve had in Bath for a long time and worked with The Genesis Trust Chairman on a talk to spread the good work that it does.
“I am looking to build on the list of Cllr Chris Pearce’s achievements by continuing the campaign on waste, traffic, and parking as the top priorities.”
The by-election is being held following the recent death of Councillor Chris Pearce.
