Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A46 at Swainswick, near Bath at the weekend.
Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries following the crash at about 8.30am on Saturday 10th May 2014.
It involved a Peugeot 206 which was in collision with a Citroen C5.
A couple from Newport in Gwent, a man aged 70 and a 69-year-old woman, were trapped in the Citroen while a 19-year-old woman from Chippenham had to be freed from the Peugeot.
Both women remain in hospital today with serious injuries which are not believed life-threatening, while the man was released after treatment.
The road was closed until 2pm while the injured were freed from the vehicles, investigations were carried out at the scene and the road was cleared of debris and oil.
Sergeant Pete Trutch of the Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are grateful to motorists and residents of nearby villages for their patience throughout the disruption caused by this serious incident.
“Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have any other information which could help our enquiries is asked to contact us on 101.”
