A retrospective planning application to use a Saltford property as a house in multiple occupation (HMO) has been submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council.

The application says that 568 Bath Road is classed as a dwelling house, but it has been “continuously used” as a HMO since 2016.

The plans show there are seven bedrooms.

There are already 10 spaces for cars in a nearby compound under an agreement between the owner and Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

It is proposed to add four cycle spaces in a shed at No. 568, as well as a new refuse storage facility.

The property’s current energy rating is D, but improvements are outlined which would bring it up to the required level C.

The planning reference is 25/03924/FUL and the deadline for comments is 4th November.
