Autumn/Winter 2015 fashions will be launched in true style with “Dress to Impress” on Thursday 17th September from 5.00 to 8.00 pm, creating a perfect chance to meet up with friends.

Why not make a date with a group of friends for an after work sortie to explore the city’s fashion stores and update your work wear or create a smart-casual capsule wardrobe.

The rationale for the evening is to provide style counsel on how best to wear the looks and colours of the season and Bath retailers are getting behind it by offering some fun and fizz to help you on your way.

Consult with personal shopping experts to find the styles that work for you.

Themes that are strong this autumn include a gothic revival with moody lace and high ruffle necklines; softly draped velvets to add glamour at cocktail hour; bold weaves and vivid graphics; the debutante look with décolleté necklines and red is the stand out colour trend this season.

Discover how the high street has interpreted the trends seen at London Fashion Week and which look works for you.

Fashionable Milsom Place is to welcome shoppers with special events at Phase Eight and Hobbs who are offering 20% off purchases on the night, nibbles, a glass of fizz and entry into a prize draw to win a £100 gift card with each purchase made.

Bath independents are also getting involved with Ezza introducing brand new designers whilst offering cocktails and canapes and a 15% discount off purchases of their beautiful handbags; there’s an opportunity to enter a draw at Quadri for a stylish Danish Design watch plus discount on purchases.

Tea and cake are on offer at Chanii B Shoes with a charity tombola and styling by Anna Perra Fashions plus a discount on footwear purchases; and Seven Boot Lane are marking the second birthday of their Bath store so expect a glass of champagne and some great offers.

Milsom Place and the Bath Business Improvement District are leading this initiative as part of the “Bath Surprising After Five “ campaign which emphasises all there is to enjoy in the city after work hours.
