Overrunning engineering work is causing disruption to trains through Bath Spa station today, continuing the rail misery over the festive period.
The overrunning work near London Paddington has now been finished, but the knock-on effect has caused trains to be running late with some also cancelled.
A number of train services to London Paddington and through Bath Spa have been delayed, with some by up to forty minutes.
The 08.43 Bristol Temple Meads service to London Paddington due through Bath Spa at 08.43 is running 39 minutes late, with the 09.16 London Paddington service from Bristol being completely cancelled.
The London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads train due through Bath at 10.01 has also been cancelled.
These delays follow on from disruption earlier this week as thousands of travellers across the country headed home for Christmas, only to be severely disrupted due to storms and flooding.
Nearly twenty trains due through Bath Spa station on Monday were cancelled due to the poor weather conditions.
