Local older people are being given the chance to use a new and free money advice service, provided by Age UK B&NES.
A new Money Advice Officer, Jon Keast, will be available at Bath’s One Stop Shop on Manvers Street and from the charity’s Kingsmead Square offices on first and third Tuesdays of each month.
The new service is being made available as part of a partnership arrangement with Age UK Bristol, where Jon works the rest of the time.
Jon explained: “Many people struggle with their finances but don’t know where to get good, unbiased advice. I hope that this free and confidential service will be able to help.
“For some older people, it may be about trying to increase their income – for instance lots of older people are entitled to benefits or tax credits that they don’t claim. Others may be looking for ways to save money or to manage debt.”

January 21st: Kingsmead Square from 9.30am – 4.30 pm
February 4th: One Stop Shop– 9.30am – 1pm, then Kingsmead Square from 2pm – 4.30pm. One Stop Shop (same as on 7th)
Feb 18th: Kingsmead Square, 9.30am – 4.30pm.
