Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for information about an attempted robbery in Bath in which a 25-year-old man was shot in the face by a BB gun pellet.

It happened at around 7pm on Thursday 28th November as the man was walking along Shaw’s Way towards Poolemead Road in Twerton.

A group of youths, aged between 16-18, started following him. One approached him and demanded money, then fired the BB gun cutting the victim’s lip.

The group then walked away and the victim, who was shaken but not badly hurt, walked home and called the police. Nothing was stolen.

The youth with the gun is white, about 16 years old, of slim build, 5ft 8ins tall, with freckles and gingerish hair and a broad nose. He was wearing blue jeans and a b lack hoody with Blink 182 on the front.

Anyone who saw the incident or who has any information is asked to call Bath CID on 101, quoting crime reference 118878/13.
