The A36 Lower Bristol Road in Bath has been partially blocked after a serious collision involving a motorcyclist near the Green Park Tavern.
Reports of the crash were received at around 5.15pm.
Avon and Somerset Police are reporting slow traffic around the scene of the collision.
Emergency services are in attendance and motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
18.30 update: The road has been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
