Major delays are being reported on the western side of Bath this morning following a serious incident involving a refuse lorry and a tanker at the A4 Globe Roundabout.

The A39 is blocked in both directions due to the collision, and emergency services are currently dealing with an overturned vehicle and a fuel spillage.

The incident is believed to have taken place just before 7.30am this morning.

Roads across the western side of the city are struggling due to the closure of the route, with many motorists facing long delays while emergency crews work at the scene.

The Globe Roundabout is expected to be closed for some time.

There has not yet been any information on casualties at the scene.
