Local businesses are being invited by the Council to ‘meet the buyer’ and find out more about possible opportunities to charge-up their cash flow by becoming a supplier to the Council.

The event will take place on Tuesday 15th October 2013. Two sessions will take place at 3pm and 6pm, in The Banqueting Room, Guildhall, Bath.

Businesses will be able to:

  • Meet with Council officers from across the authority to find out what opportunities are in the pipeline;
  • Find out what it means to be a Council supplier and how to register your business immediately;
  • Hear from and network with other Council partner organisations;
  • Put your procurement questions directly to the Council in open floor Q&A sessions.

Councillor David Bellotti (Lib-Dem, Lyncombe), Cabinet Member for Resources, who will be introducing the Council’s ‘Think Local’ approach at the start of each session said: “When selecting suppliers, Bath & North East Somerset Council is ensuring that our departments think local.

“This event is part of that initiative and businesses from across the area can find out more about registering their company with us and what opportunities are coming-up. We are also very pleased to be welcoming other public organisations to the event who similarly are looking for opportunities to find suppliers.”

Due to high interest places are limited so the advice is book whilst you can via the following methods:
