Avon and Somerset Police’s helicopter joined officers on the ground this afternoon after a motorbike was stolen in Bath.
The aircraft was spotted flying over various parts of the city as the crew on-board used their powerful cameras to search for the stolen bike.
Police were initially alerted to two men pushing a motorbike up Bennett Street at around 2pm, with the member of the public who contact them concerned that the bike still had a wheel lock attached.
A number of police vehicles attended the scene and while there, were approached by a man who told them that it was his bike that had been stolen.
The helicopter (NPAS43), based at Filton, joined the search for the two men believed to be involved with the theft.
Officers were concentrating their search near the Circus.
Update: The helicopter successfully located the two men and guided police officers to them.
