The role of a governor is vital in ensuring that the RUH Trust delivers services that meet the needs of patients, carers, staff and local stakeholders.
The new governors, who were voted for by RUH members, are:
- City of Bath – Nicola James & Vivienne Harpwood
- North East Somerset – Anna Beria
- Mendip – Anne Martin (re-elected)
- South Wiltshire – Diana Benham
- Rest of England & Wales – Ramal Royal
The candidate for the North Wiltshire constituency had to withdraw from the election process for personal reasons.
As a result, a by-election will be held to fill this vacancy.
Alison Ryan, Trust Chair, said: “Thank you to everyone who voted in the election. I’m delighted to welcome our new public governors to the Trust and look forward to working alongside them.
“They are the voice of members and local communities and will bring valuable perspectives to our activities to effect real change.”
You can find more information about the work of public governors on the RUH website.
