Sirona, the not-for-profit social enterprise, is holding a drop-in care and share lunch next Monday (8th June) to mark National Carer’s Week, and is open to all.
The lunch is being held with the Carer’s Centre from 12pm until 2.30pm.
Martha Cox, who heads up Service User Involvement for Sirona care & health, which provides community health and adult social care in Bath & North East Somerset, said: “Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise their efforts.
“We want to make sure that people know what is available to them as carers as we know caring can and does have an impact on their lives.
“There will be a wide range of stalls showcasing the information and support they can offer to carers.”
“These will range from the Wellbeing College, Bath MIND, the Department of Work and Pensions, Dorothy House, Sirona Active Ageing Service, Community Safety Fire Volunteers, the MS Society and many more.
“The event is open to carers, their families, the staff who work with them and anyone else who is interested. There will be a free lunch.”
The event will be held at Somerdale Lodge, The Fry Club, Keynsham, BS31 2AU – booking isn’t required.
