A new Non-Executive Director is being sought to join the Board of Directors at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, to bring an independent perspective to the boardroom.

The new candidate will replace Moira Brennan, who is at the end of her term in office and will leave the Trust in March after 10 years in the role.

Brian Stables, Trust Chairman said: “Non-Executive Directors play a crucial role in bringing an independent perspective to the boardroom in addition to any specific knowledge and skills they may have.

“We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our board and contribute their skills and expertise to develop healthcare for our local community and beyond.

“The future will be about organisations working more closely together to deliver the best quality experience and outcomes for patients in a sustainable way. We have already started this journey and are pioneering new ventures and new ways of working.

“It’s an exciting time to join our organisation as we continue on an exciting programme of redevelopment which will transform our site and further improve the services we provide.

“We’ve already completed a number of major redevelopment projects, including the award winning Dyson Neonatal Care Unit and Information Management and Technology building, Pharmacy and a state of the art Pathology Laboratory and we are about to commence work on the construction of our new RNHRD and Therapies centre.”

Moira Brennan said: “Being a Non-Executive Director is a fulfilling role in a critical local service. I’ve found my time here very rewarding and I’m sure the new Non-Executive Director will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution.”
