Additional walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics are being set up across Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire to help more adults receive a jab.
Over the next few weeks, mobile vaccination teams will be on hand at a range of community venues to welcome any person in need of a first or second dose, as well as the booster vaccine.
Having all three required doses of the Covid-19 vaccine greatly reduces a person’s chances of becoming seriously ill from coronavirus, while also helping them become less infectious to others.
Twerton Park Stadium in Bath and Langford Road in Trowbridge are just two of the locations hosting pop-ups this week, with the clinics at both sites taking place on Thursday 10th February.
Next week will see teams set up shop at Wiltshire College’s campuses at Lackham, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Salisbury, as well as at Eastcott Community Centre in Swindon.

Gill May, Director of Nursing and Quality, said: “More than 85 per cent of all adults in our area have been triple vaccinated, which is absolutely fantastic and exceeds the target given to us by the government before Christmas.
“Our focus now is to do all we can to help those yet to come forward to access the lifesaving Covid-19 vaccine in as easy a way as possible, and these pop-up clinics allow us to do exactly that.
“In recent weeks, we’ve vaccinated people in sports clubs, housing estates and even pubs, and we’ll continue visiting similar community venues for as long as it is necessary, as every vaccine given makes a difference.”
Approximately 80,000 people across the region are still yet to have their first Covid-19 vaccination.
In Bath and North East Somerset, the number of unvaccinated people currently stands at around 24,000, while Swindon and Wiltshire have around 22,000 and 34,000 unvaccinated adults respectively.
Most people over the age of 16 require three vaccinations to achieve full protection against Covid-19, with children aged between 12 and 15-years-old currently only needing two.
As well as the pop-up clinics happening over the coming weeks, vaccinations continue to be available from established sites across the region including Bath Racecourse, the Steam Museum in Swindon and Salisbury City Hall.
While all venues are now offering walk-in vaccinations, appointments can still be pre-booked online at www.nhs.uk or over the phone by calling 119.
