The Royal United Hospital is seeking prior approval from Bath & North East Somerset Council to install solar panels on three buildings at its Combe Park site.

The panels are proposed for the flat roofs of the Princess Margaret Wing, South Blocks and the pathology department.

The application says that the panels will have an advanced anti-reflective coating to significantly reduce light reflection and minimise the potential for glare.

They will also be installed at a fixed tilt angle to ensure that reflected light is directed upwards and away from roads and surrounding buildings.

The planning reference is 25/00838/SOLPA. The deadline for comments is 27th March.
