The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust has been recognised with an award for its progress on diversity and inclusion.
The Trust, which provides mental health services across Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, has been awarded a bronze award from the Employer’s Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI).
The Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluations (TIDEmark) assessment measures an organisation’s approach and progress on diversity and inclusion within several areas, such as its workforce, its leadership and accountability, and the way the organisation communicates and engages with its staff.
AWP’s Chief Executive, Dr Hayley Richards, said: “This is excellent news for the Trust and everyone who works here. Our staff are our biggest asset and we work with diverse service users, their families and carers.
“We value our work in creating an inclusive and fair working environment and delivering inclusive services, by treating people as individuals, respecting and promoting their rights, equality and dignity.
“We already feature in the Excellence in Diversity’s Inclusive Top 50 Employer’s List and this bronze award recognises the progress we are making in our dedication to workforce equality, diversity and inclusion; we as a trust will continue to make improvements towards achieving the gold award.”
